Sorry I Missed you that day
John (Jack) sorry I just missed you on the day you died. I was in Da Nang and you were in PHU YEN. I knew you were there but I could not get there in time to see you before that tragic day. I was deeply saddened when I read the sad news in the Stars & Stripes paper two days before I flew out of Da Nang for my next duty station. I wish I knew some of the guys you served with - I would like to meet them and speak to them. Its been 50 years now but I will never forget you! RIP
