It is because of Charlie that I did NOT die along side him and I thank God for that day when we both went to join the Marines on the buddy plan, but Charlie got me to ' find something that will keep you out, cause I got a REALLY bad feeling about you going with me ' as he put it. I did, otherwise I might have died along with him. That is just the kind of guy Charlie was, ALWAYS thinking of the OTHER guy and NOT of himself. Rest in peace dear friend, you deserve it ! May God keep you close and safe forever !
