I met Spike my 1st Class/ Senior Year at USAFA when I was transferred to the 17th Cadet Squadron in the fall of '64. He was one of the key players on the Intramural Wing Championship Water Polo team that year, which I had the privilege of coaching. I remember Spike as a quiet guy, a little reserved and serious, but an intense competitor.
After graduation, he went on to serve his Country with distinction, giving his all for Freedom.
We salute you, Spike.

As a fellow Buckeye, I say "THANK YOU"

As a Veteran, I say "JOB WELL DONE"

As an American, "YOUR DEATH WAS NOT IN VAIN"

And as a Believer, "YOUR SPIRIT IS ALIVE--AND STRONG"

Again, thank you Sir, for your valiant and faithful service, contribution, and most precious of sacrifices given to this great country of ours! ETERNAL PEACE MY FRIEND
