Uncle Charles, we never met, but I feel like I know you so well from all the stories I've been told. You gave the ultimate sacrifice for us and I am truly grateful for it. I know you would of been such a fun uncle. Love you always.

My Point Man In Nam
I was you squad leader, I left Nam on Christmas Eve in 68 and only 52 days later and Kilo Co. Lost you. I wish I could turn back time and I had stayed and maybe you would be here. All the pictures have the AK-47 bullet I gave you. A story that is hard to believe but only by a act of God we made it that night coming off that ambush. You will always be my Hero. I cherish this picture of our squad with that AK-47 Rifle and the bullet around your neck.

Remembering An American Hero
Dear LCPL Charles Nick Bondi, sir
As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.
May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.
With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir
Curt Carter

1968 Putnam City class reunion.
Charlie, you were remembered at our class reunion. You were a great wrestler in Junior High School and at Putnam City. Gary Prescott said your moms Italian food was the best ever. We all missed you.
Our end is our beginning, may God be with you.
