REMEMBERED
I remember Gary from grade school and high school.
We sometimes played 'horse' at friends or at his neighbor's house.
I heard that he was missing years ago, and found out about the virtual wall recently, so visited this site on Memorial Day weekend.
We weren't close friends, but he is not forgotten.

Not Forgotten!
After arriving on position on March 11, 1970, during the early hours of the morning of March 12, 1970, his position was attacked by a large force of NVA Regulars. This position, located at the Khe Gio Bridge, south of Khe Sanh, on Highway 9, was manned by 40-50 ARVN soldiers, and 14 Americans. SP4 Terry L. Moser was killed early in the battle. SGT Mitchell W. Stout gave his life to save three Searchlight crew members, and was awarded the Medal of Honor for his sacrifice. By 0415 the defenders were forced to abandon the position. 2nd LT Scull was "missing in action", never to be seen again. There were 17 confirmed NVA dead, and indications that as many as 40 "were dragged away".
