Remembered

DEAR CAPTAIN BOLLMAN,
THANKS FOR YOUR SERVICE AS AN INFANTRY UNIT COMMANDER. IT HAS BEEN FAR TOO LONG FOR ALL OF YOU TO HAVE BEEN GONE. WE APPRECIATE ALL YOU HAVE DONE, AND YOUR SACRIFICE. WATCH OVER THE U.S.A., IT STILL NEEDS YOUR COURAGE. GOD BLESS YOU. MAY THE ANGELS BE AT YOUR SIDE. REST IN PEACE. YOU ARE ALL IN OUR PRAYERS. IT WAS JUST EASTER - GOD'S BLESSINGS ON YOU.

Great Sacrifice

Bob, I smile when I think of you. I'm so sorry you only had 22 years here on Earth. It seems like just yesterday I met and loved you. You had a great personality. You cared about people. We're still the same naive, hopeful, energetic kids we were at 18. We are still here honoring your memory and thanking you for your sacrifice. Remembering you is easy, forgetting you is hard! You will stay in our thoughts always.

Remembering You On Your Birthday

We met in high school gym class, pairing off for back flips because we were the same height. We became good friends throughout 10th-12th grade. We enjoyed movies, basketball games, cruising 5th and 6th Streets, just having a good time.We liked Chevy Chevelles-inspired by Paul Beyer, who drove a 327 super sport. After that we both ended up with a super sport. We joined the Army on the buddy system and Bob went to OCS. We kept in touch throughout the period until 15 August 70 when we got news Bob was wounded. His mother was desperately making plans to travel to Viet Nam to be with him.and I was going to escort her. Sadly it was too late. Bob died 18 August 70. It's been 45 years this August. Bob was only 22, and today he would be 67 years old. ARMY STRONG! We miss you and always will. I named my son in your honor and he knows of you and our everlasting friendship.
