Remember the Fallen
In 1988 I randomly picked a POW/MIA bracelet out of a box onboard the USS Moinester FF-1097. My only request is that it be of a sailor from Massachusettes. Who would believe that later on in college, after investigated your name further, that we were practically neighbors living one town away and being born in the same hospital. I wear your name with honor and remembrance always.

LTJG WARREN W. BOLES, USNA 1965 - POW/MIA RECOGNITION DAY 2019
The Department of Defense conducted a ceremony at the Pentagon on Friday, 20 September 2019 in recognition of POW/MIA Recognition Day. Deputy Defense Secretary David L. Nordquist remembered the 1,587 MIAs from the Vietnam War as well as all those still unaccounted for from WWII, the Korean War, the Cold War and other conflicts. Since the 2018 Ceremony, DPAA has positively identified 7 Vietnam War MIAs. LTJG Warren William Boles, USNA Class of 1965, is one of those 1,587 MIAs unaccounted for in Southeast Asia from the Vietnam War. He is one of 3 graduates from his U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis class who is still MIA. The other 2 USNA Class of 1965 MIAs are: 1) LT John Lindahl; and 2) LTJG Lynn Travis. As of the date of this ceremony, there are 55 USNA graduates still MIA in SEA from the Vietnam War.
