Saved My Life
Sgt. Scoby protected his men and made them as safe as possible, especially those that were 'short'.He figured they had already paid their debt. He took me out of the firefight that eventually took his life.I served with him in charlie company, 31st eng. I have never forgotten his compassion in combat.

A Real Friend and Soldier-Never to be Forgotten
Richard was the son of my co-worker and friend. The three of us spent many hours together duck hunting and we all looked forward every fall to our hunting trips. I will never forget how good natured and humorous Richard was to be around. My heart was also broken the day I heard of Richard's passing in the service of his country. Richard was a fine individual and soldier and I am proud to have known him. Rest in peace Richard, and some day we will meet again.

A good partner; my back was covered with him around.
I served with Bill on his first tour in '68.
We covered a lot of roads minesweeping, and saved a lot of lives by finding well-hidden mines.
He was a good engineer; thorough, attentive and dedicated.
Also he was a good friend, almost always cheerful and ready to lift our sprits.
We spent a lot of time at Polei-Kleng, out by the border with Laos and Cambodia, and dealt with a lot of NVA.
Bill, a lot of us miss you.
Rest in Peace.
