DEAR SPEC 4 BOLDEN,
THANKS FOR YOUR SERVICE AS AN INFANTRYMAN WITH THE 1ST CAVALRY. MIKE WAS ALSO 1ST CAV, SAY HI TO HIM. I READ ABOUT THE IA DRANG VALLEY - THE VALLEY OF DEATH...IT IS THE STUFF OF NIGHTMARES. IT HAS BEEN FAR TOO LONG FOR ALL OF YOU TO HAVE BEEN GONE. WE APPRECIATE ALL YOU HAVE DONE, AND YOUR SACRIFICE. WATCH OVER THE U.S.A., IT STILL NEEDS YOUR COURAGE. GOD BLESS YOU. MAY THE ANGELS BE AT YOUR SIDE. REST IN PEACE. YOU ARE ALL IN OUR PRAYERS. IT IS EASTER WEEK - GOD'S BLESSINGS ON YOU.

Remembering An American Hero

Dear SP4 Rollie Lee Bolden, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

Curt Carter

Always in my heart and mind.

Rollie didn't like good-bys
so he wouldn't let me walk him to the bus station. He said he was just going to
"play soldier".
He was a sweet Christian young man and will always be in my heart and mind.I know I will see him again one day.Praise the Lord!
