Rest in peace
Hello. I was given your bracelet when I was around 10, 53 years ago and told never to take it off until you returned home. You didn’t and I wore it until forced to take it off for Army basic training. Some years later my daughter took over. It is cracked now and can not be worn. Every year we visit you at the moving wall memorial and leave you a thank you gift. Knives, books, notes, beers, food…it has been so many years and it is hard to recall. We saw you yesterday here in Florida at the Wall and left a red flower. Rest in peace. See you next year.

honoring you.....
Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. I am heartened you returned home after the passage of so many years though I wish it had been under very different circumstances. May you rest in eternal peace.

Always In Our Thoughts
I began wearing a POW/MIA bracelet for SSgt Schreckengost in 1972. At some point, I lost track of the bracelet due to numerous relocations; however, my wife found it this year. I was moved by the information I discovered online and, though tragic, it was heartening to know the family received closure about Fred. I will take my bracelet with me when I go to Arlington National Cemetery in 2024. Thank you for your service, SSgt Schreckengost.

Thank You
Dear SSgt Fred Schreckengost, Thank you for your service as a Motor Vehicle Operator. I researched you on the 21st anniversary of your repatriation. Glad you were identified in 1991. Welcome Home. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.
