THE WALL OF FACES

The towns of Mexico and Rumford, in western Maine, are bisected by the Swift River and the Androscoggin River. It was in Mexico where Edward Boivin lived and graduated in 1962 from Mexico High School. Thanks to the staff at Rumford Historical Society for Edward’s class photo and uniformed Army picture.

I served with Ed on Pr'Line mountain in Vietnam. A fine friend lost to a wasted senseless war. You are not forgotten Ed. Rest in peace.

I remember playing Little League ball with you on the Mexico Braves. You were the first soldier our little town lost. You are not forgotten.

Ed you were a very special friend from my childhood and teenage years. You suffered so much through your teenage years due to your spinal issues.. could not believe that you were allowed to sign up with the army. We all expected you to come home for Christmas 1966, but not in a Coffin. Think of you often, wish that it had been so much different. God bless you Ed. Love, Nancy
