My brother Michael O'Keefe was with Richard on Nov 29th. Panel 15W, Line 7

To Mr. & Mrs. Boise,
I am the sister of Michael O'Keefe. He was with Richard on November 29, 1969. Back in 1999, my father Michael had asked me to try to find information about what happened on the day that Michael & Richard died. I was contacted by three of the survivors and they provided me with some additional information. One of their letters is posted on the virtualwall.org on my brother Michael's page. My dad often wanted to speak with you, but we never knew how to contact you. (My mother is deceased.) We often wondered what information you had about what happened. I was helping my son with a project on Vietnam tonight when I came across your entry on Richard. What a nice photograph of your son. I have a page dedicated to Michael at the virtualwall.org. Richard and the other 3 men that died are also listed at the bottom of his page. Our thoughts are with you and your family every November and Memorial Day. If you would like to contact us, please feel free to at anytime. Sincerely, Peggy O'Keefe (sister of Micahel A. O'Keefe, Jr. )[email protected]

You will always be a hero

Dear Richard,
Thank you very much for your service in Vietnam. You gave the ultimate sacrifice for your country. With you giving your life for your country, let the others you put in front of you have a better life. I want to recognize your bravery and undying loyalty. You will never be forgotten. Thank you for all you have done.
Respectfully,
Ashley
