My Friend
Dan I miss you so and regret I couldn't go with you. Remember wrestling at North Jr. you were one tough guy. Luckily you were not in my weight class cause I am sure you would have kicked my butt. Remember when we went to the enlistment office in Fargo eager to join and be heroes. You and I went to AFEEs and I was so disheartened when they disqualified me and you got in. I cried many nights I got left behind and you moved on. You always said you'd remind me what a wuss I was not getting in. I loved your letters and the experiences you were going through and lived though you. GOD I miss you!! At least one of us became a HERO. You will always be my HERO.... Rest in Peace and sorry it has taken me so long to talk to you again.
