It is the 3rd week of Advent, Christmas is soon. Time moves quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness, especially now. Gone way too soon. Your passing broke the hearts of many of us. I was just a few years older and had only been in the family a few years but we had a kinship that went beyond those short years together.
Every St Patricks Day and Christmas Eve your memory holds a special place in our hearts. So glad that you became a part of my life.

Never forgot
Charles and I were neighbors in Fortuna, CA. He was about 3 years older than me. I remember his love of baseball. He had a great baseball card collection and almost always had his glove nearby in case a 'game' broke out. He worked with me tirelessly for several days teaching me how to ride a bike. I remember being included in the bike rides in the neighborhood with Charles and the other boys. My family moved to Mckinleyville, CA and Charles and I lost contact. Years later I heard that he had died in Vietnam but the details were sketchy. My first trip to D.C., I located his name on the wall. For years I have posted the photo of his name on "The Wall" on Facebook on Memorial Day. I am glad to have found this page today. I always remembered his kindness. Now I know his story. Gone too soon.
