Never fogotten

We think about you often & always remember the great sacrifice you made so that we can enjoy this wonderful country of ours. Gone but never, ever, forgotten. You live on in our hearts.

Great Uncle Raymo

I'm proud to say my great uncle served our country in one of the most horrible wars in history. What happened to you and every other solder who died was so unjust. You were so young, brave and carefree and you only lasted five weeks.. I can't even imagine what you went through during that time.
You're always remembered in my family, especially because my mom was named after you in your honor. Even though I never met you, you'll always be remembered in my heart because you're family. I can't thank you enough for everything, and showing it's okay to hang on when times get tough.
Much love from your grand niece.

An American Hero

An American Soldier….. You can bet that I stand ready when the wolf growls at the door, Hey, I'm solid, I'm steady, I'm true down to the core, And I will always do my duty, no matter what the price, I've counted up the cost, I know the sacrifice, And I don't want to die for you, But if dying's asked of me, I'll bear that cross with honor, 'Cause freedom don't come free. I'm an American Soldier, an American, Beside my Brothers and my Sisters I will proudly take a stand. When liberty's in jeopardy I'll always do what's right. I'm out here on the front lines, sleep in peace tonight. Rest in Peace, dear Hero. (excerpt from Toby Keith’s song)
