Reading of the names
On Sunday, November 10, 2002 I will be reading aloud
the name of Joel Sandberg and 29 of his fallen comrades
as part of a 4 day ceremony at 'The Wall' in Washington,
DC where all 58,229 names will be read aloud for the
20th anniversary of this monument.
As a National Park Service volunteer I spend most of my
weekends at 'The Wall'. It is an honour to have the
opportunity to read Joel's name as part of the ceremony.

Have a Good One, LT.
Joel was a good friend to many while attending Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minnesota.
Although a number us went on to serve during the Vietnam war, Joel was the only casualty to that conflict among us.
We remember Joel well, honor his sacrifice, and miss him a great deal.
Have a good one, LT.
