do not stand at my grave and weep
Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.
As long as you are remembered you will always be with us....
I am not there; I do not sleep.

DEAR SERGEANT 1ST CLASS BODE,
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE AS AN INFANTRYMAN. IT HAS BEEN FAR TOO LONG FOR ALL OF YOU TO HAVE BEEN GONE. WE APPRECIATE ALL YOU HAVE DONE, AND YOUR SACRIFICE. WATCH OVER THE U.S.A., IT STILL NEEDS YOUR COURAGE. GOD BLESS YOU. MAY THE ANGELS BE AT YOUR SIDE. REST IN PEACE. MANY OF US HAVE BEGUN OUR JOURNEY TO EASTER. AND YOU ARE ALL IN OUR PRAYERS. IT IS HOLY SATURDAY, AND PASSOVER - GOD'S BLESSINGS ON YOU.

MY FATHER & MY HERO ROBERT R. BODE
When I remember my dady I remember his love for his ccountry, his God, his wife, his children, his family,&his army. There are so many thing my father was great. But to me he was my everything. 40plus years without him has put a permanent piece missing in my soul. Not ONE day goes by he pops in my mind. God is the only thing that eases my sorrow. Because he says we will see each other again!!!!! If he lived I know my live wouldn't of been so hard. They don't make dadys like that anymore that's for sure.
