Teachers don't forget good students
My mother, Maro Kouyoumjian Rogers, taught Captain Sale in high school. Fifty-plus years after he was lost, she was remembering what a good student he was - and she started crying at the dinner table. I'm sure he had so much to give.

Status Update
As Hal's nephew, I attended a DPAA family update meeting in 2023. As we previously knew, they have apparently located Hal's RF-4C near the Vietnam/Laotian border. The site is unfortunately in Laos which means the resources to excavate the site are much less than in Vietnam. DPAA briefed us that his site is on the list to be excavated, but doing so could take many years due to the lack of resources and cooperation of the Laotian government. Please pray both the Laotian and our governments will work to quickly go back to the site.

Capt. Harold Sales Jr...Vietnam Bracelet
I've just finished the audio book (The Women) and it brought many memories of the war. I had purchased one of the silver missing/killed in action bracelets with name, Capt. Harold Sales Jr on it. I wore it for years and after the war ended I put it away. I had always hoped to give it to his family but never knew how to go about it. He was only 25 at the time. I found this site and am hoping that a family member reads this. I would love to send it to them.

Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. The remembrances from those who wear/wore your MIA bracelet are touching and reflect their admiration and respect for you. It remains my fervent hope you will be returned home after the passage of so many ears.

POW MIA Bracelet
I submitted a picture of the POW MIA bracelet I received as a child in the early 70s. I wore that bracelet for many years. Today I still have the bracelet. I’m 62 years old. It is an honor to have it for all these years. Thank you, Capt. Harold Sale Jr, for your sacrifice for my freedom.
