BUTCH FOREVER
Butch was my baby brother. He spent 30 days leave with family after serving his first tour before returning to serve his second tour. He informed the family he was safe. Approximately two months to the day he returned to start his second tour, they hit the land mine where he volunteered to fill a vacancy. I heard the “ boom” at 12:30 PM. Nine hours later the officer knocked at the door. I heard my brother died. I lost a brother and best friend! He was caring, loving, Christian, easy going, loved to laugh. Always in my heart. Rest In Peace, dear brother……

Thank You
Dear Sgt Sylvester Sagan, Thank you for your service as a Communication Center Specialist. Your 54th anniversary is in 2 days, sad. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Veterans’ Day is tomorrow. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance, and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

Remembering An American Hero
Dear SGT Sylvester Stanley Sagan, sir
As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.
May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.
With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir
Curt Carter
