He died in front of me

Rob and I were on a patrol and the point man in front of him hit a trip wire which caused a boobie trap explosion. I was the third man behind Vernon Zornes who died in my arms.

Rob was a great guy and I shall always remember him and that day.

Thank You

Dear Cpl Robert Runge, Thank you for your service as an Infantryman. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. It is Halloween weekend. Time moves quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.
