A man Crying
As I was walking through the Vietnam Memorial Wall in D.C I noticed this large elderly man who was crying. As tears shed from his eyes he pointed towards the name Jon.m.Rumble. His voice cracks and he was telling his wife about you. Im a student who was told to pick a name along this wall of lost soldiers. I decided to do Jon.m.Rumble because of this man. I wish you an easy rest god knows you deserve it.
In Vietnam's embrace, where shadows creep,
Jon M. Rumble, in eternal sleep.
Jungle whispers, a battlefield's hymn,
His sacrifice, a tale grown dim.
Rice fields golden, where courage bled,
A hero's resting place, honor spread.
Silent echoes in the Vietnam air,
Rumble's name, a solemn prayer.
Bravery etched on a foreign land,
Jon, the soldier, in history's hand.
In the quiet, where memories cling,
A fallen hero, forever a king.

honoring you.....
War drew us from our homeland
In the sunlit springtime of our youth.
Those who did not come back alive remain
in perpetual springtime -- forever young --
And a part of them is with us always.

High School Friend
Tall and sweet natured with an incredible singing voice, Jon was 3 years ahead of me at W.T. Woodson. I will always remember the day he tried to get the water fountain on the second floor to work by punching its side. The entire front fell off onto my foot - a fond memory I still cherish. Rest In Peace, Jon.
