honoring you.....
War drew us from our homeland
In the sunlit springtime of our youth.
Those who did not come back alive remain
in perpetual springtime -- forever young --
And a part of them is with us always.

Andy Ruiz funeral
I attended the funeral with my parents.. Heard stories of his Clovis High School football days. I was attending Modesto High School. Later in my last week's of School . I went to Air Force recruiter , to fix airplanes instead of rifles . Poor no money for college told recruiter I'll sign within last 2 weeks before graduation. Monday called into office of counselor . He said Honor Roll kid what're your plans after graduation ? Air Force !!. Was given State College Grant. An a military deferment . Parents prayers were answered n always remember Andy Ruiz. We all have a purpose in life . Andy saved others life's so they could make a difference in this world. Now I'm a Prayer Minister praying for patients in Hospitals . The way I Believe I'll see Andy inside the Gates of Heaven. Standing with my parents n Aunt Ramona .

FOR ANDY
I remember Andy as a kid. The RUIZ family lived very close to my mother, and brother in Clovis. Brother David and Andy and his brother were close friends, along with Gene Garcia who lived across the street from my mother.
I have been to the wall many times and it always pulls me when I see the
names. I have seventy-nine brothers on that wall, and I will never forget
any of them. I have always left something at the wall. Sometimes it a bracelet,
sometimes its a medal or ribbon. I have rubbings of all the names of brothers
I lost. Many people thank me for my service, I respond by telling them if they
really want thank some one go to the WALL and thank the 58 thousand plus
names. on that wall. ALL GAVE SOME,SOME GAVE ALL.
GOD BLESS, ANDY
SEMPER FI.
