Gone but never forgotten
Mr. Cpl. Akins you had to be atleast 20yrs old when you served with my father Art De La Cruz. Not a day goes by your not mentioned. I heard you were really good looking & could get any woman you wanted. If I heard correctly both you & My dad were arguing/fighting over a locker that wasn't even either of yours. That started a great friendship. My dad always wanted to meet your family & tell them stories about you. My brother is named after you & I've never heard my dad say his name there's only 1 Donald and that was you. Thank you for your service & sacrafice. You are missed every passing day. Today we went to make sure your on the traveling memorial wall in corona,ca. Dad went the closest to remember you & your fellow brothers.
