THE WALL OF FACES

We met at 7 or 8, we ran the Niagara River together, rode a pupcart on the railroad tracks around the corner from Sawyer Ave. Shared our first pack of cigarettes together. There hasn't been a day I haven't held your memory with me. I hope someday they find you and get you back home, I miss you my friend, be joining you soon

Sgt. James, I wore your bracelet all through middle and high school. I recently came across it again. Are there any family members who would like to wear his bracelet? I would be happy to share it.

I wore your POW bracelet through high school in Buffalo , NY from 1970 -1974. One day ( 1973) I was working downtown. A customer noticed my bracelet and asked me who's name was on it. I replied and she gasped saying that's my son!!!! What a shock and coincidence. Well 50 years later and several moves later I came across your bracelet in the back of my nightstand drawer that I never use. I put it on and got chills. My memory went back 50 years in a second remembering the above story. I remembered that we had to mail away money to a pow bracelet address to get a bracelet to wear for a lost service person. We have no idea who we would get or where they would be from. Ironically mine was from someone in my Hometown . I don't know if you're mom or any of your family will ever see this post. But I still have your bracelet today. Obviously you can see the photo. My dad is still alive. He was blinded at age 19 in Normandy. He just turned 98 years old. God bless all the service people.
