we will remember

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.

You are always in my thoughts and in my Heart

51 years ago, I remember that night as if it was yesterday. I miss you my brother. You were a true friend and a good soldier. When the LT had asked you to go out on that patrol, you could have said no, you were a short timer. The LT would not have held it against you. But knowing you and that you wouldn't say no. Why didn't you let the new guy put out the claymore? You were my best friend Ernie, I often think what it would be like if you didn't die. We would have found each other, like I found Frank.
You are always on my mind, I'm always thinking of you.
Rest in Peace my brother,I will never forget you.
Your brother Deli.
