Harvey Roundtree

Harvey was my childhood friend. I think of him often with much joy. We took the Flatbush Avenue bus home every day together and very often stopped off at the Brooklyn zoo.

I Remember Your Sacrifice

Harvey began his Vietnam tour on June 6, 1969 and was attached to the Army's 1st Infantry Division, 2nd Battalion, 28th Infantry Regiment, Company C. He was killed by small arms fire while in a defensive position.

You were one of the brave that answered the call. You honored us by your service and sacrifice. We now honor you each time we stand and sing the words “THE LAND OF THE FREE AND THE HOME OF THE BRAVE”. Rest in Peace and Honor Harvey.
