Remembered

DEAR PFC BLOUNT,
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE AS A MEDICAL CORPSMAN. THANK YOU FOR THE LIVES YOU SAVED. IT HAS BEEN FAR TOO LONG FOR ALL OF YOU TO HAVE BEEN GONE. WE APPRECIATE ALL YOU HAVE DONE, AND YOUR SACRIFICE. WATCH OVER THE U.S.A., IT STILL NEEDS YOUR COURAGE. GOD BLESS YOU. MAY THE ANGELS BE AT YOUR SIDE. REST IN PEACE. MANY OF US HAVE BEGUN OUR JOURNEY TO EASTER. AND YOU ARE ALL IN OUR PRAYERS. IT IS HOLY WEEK, AND PASSOVER - GOD'S BLESSINGS ON YOU.

Personal Friend

Robert, just thinking of you and how brave you were. You and I go back to Holden High School. I think about many great times we had both at School and our discussions on hunting and especially about Rabbit Hunting with our dogs. If I recall correctly you had a dog named Sawbone and I had one named Spotlight. Yes we had other hunting dogs but when it came to Rabbit Hunting those were our dogs. We also had discussions about my Squirrel and Coon dog. Robert you know I have visited the Mobil Vietnam Wall multiple times to pay you honor. Many times when I return home and take the exit South of Holden you are on my mind. Today for some unknown reason I decided to enter your name on Google using my smart phone. I was so happy to see a picture of you. This picture is just the way i remembered you. I was kind of disappointed the first time I had the support group to enter your name to obtain your location on the wall. I gave them your name being from Holden but they could not find you. Then they told me you were listed under Albany. At least I found you. I just want his family and love ones to know that I (Kemp Bankson) still think about my good friend from Holden. I miss you Robert.
