Remembering An American Hero
Dear SGT Roosevelt Snow Rome, sir
As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.
May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.
With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir
Curt Carter

Thank you
Dear Sir,
In Gridley High School in Gridley, Illinois, the students are currently involved in posting remembrances for the country’s fallen soldiers through the Gridley High School Posting Project. As Americans, it is our duty to ensure that the men and women that lost their lives during the war are never forgotten—that their lives and stories live on to inspire others to be the best that they can be. Through your courage and strong-will, you supported the country that you loved and died for the freedoms of others. You are a hero in the purest sense, and I will never forget how you were committed to America. Thank you.
