I served with Jim in VN. I was the company executive officer of B, 2/34 Armor. I was with him the day he died. I would like to get in contact with family members and/or close friends. He was a great guy, a good soldier, and a good soul. have some stories I would like to share. Dominic N. Stimola

Dear SSgt James Roland, Thank you for your service as an Armor Crewman. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. It is almost Columbus Day. Time moves quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

Staff Sergeant James Curtiss Roland was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for Valor, with Combat Distinguishing Device (V), for his exemplary gallantry in action. He
was also awarded the Bronze Star Medal for Merit for his sustained meritorious service. He served as an Armor Crewman and was assigned to B CO, 2ND BN, 34TH ARMOR, 25TH INF DIV.

I only have stories that my family members told me of James. I never had the chance to meet Him. His is however, my Second Cousin on my Mother's side of the Family.
