Never forgotten

Just stopping by. A friend of mine in Gainesville, FL asked me for a list of gravesites of those KIA in Vietnam. He and his friend, a Korean War veteran, stopped by to pay their respects to you and others from Gainesville/Alachua County.

You are not forgotten.

Thank You

Dear SSgt Charles Roland, Thank you for your service as a Tech Drafting Specialist. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. It is Agent Orange Awareness month. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance, and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

Thank you Mr. Roland for your service

I missed the Vietnam War by 1 year. My 2nd oldest brother was over there in '70 in the Gulf of Tonkin. His Dlg came under 3 enemy jets then. They were able to repulsed them by downing 2 of the Jets. I just learned about this last year while looking for DLG34 USS Biddle.

Charles Edward Roland

During his second tour of duty, S/SGT Charles “Chuck” Roland, lost his life while in battle. Because of his heroic measures, he was rewarded a Bronze star with Clusters, a Silver Star and a Purple Heart were among some of his metals. He is missed very day by his family and we will never forget. We love you Chuck.
