Thank You

Dear PFC Andrew Rogus, Thank you for your service as a Rifleman. Today is the 52nd anniversary of the start of your tour. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. It is Agent Orange Awareness month. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance, and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

To my Cousin

I don't know that we ever met, Andrew...we were distant cousins...but I now know who you are. You were a bit more than a year older than me, and died while in the service of your country the summer before I went off to college.
I have been approved by the VVMF to read your name, and that of 29 others, at the Reading of The Names at the Wall on November 10, 2017 at 5:34pm.
May you rest in peace.

Little Butch

My poor cousin, this is me Big Butch, I still often think of you and visit your grave any time I go to the cemetery. You will always be remembered in my family, my youngest son named his son after you, that's right we have another Andrew Rogus, the 4th one, our grandpa Rogus was Andrew, your dad, you and now my grandson. My son never met you but his respect for you and knowing I miss and love the memories of you he honored us by naming his first born after you. God bless you and I hope to see you on the other side.
