to your son
I went to EMU with your son. My father also served in Vietnam, for 5 tours. Michael and I spoke about our shared loss only twice, my father survived, but he too had been lost to Vietnam. I have never forgotten your son, or the pain he and your family felt, it was my pain too. My father passed in 1998 from his fight with cancer due to his exposure to Agent Orange. My children and I have paid tribute to your name at the wall: for you, your family and for my father-the grandfather my children will never know.

Friend
You can be very proud of your son. He is the father you would have been.
