We Lost A Good Man
I had the pleasure of serving with SGT "Rod" Rodriguez in Vietnam. We were with the 3rd Battalion, 1st Infantry, 11th Light Infantry Brigade based in Duc Pho, Vietnam. SGT "Rod" was well liked and a respected leader in the field. I'll never forget the fateful day in December, 1968 when his platoon came under intense enemy fire. We lost several good men that day, including SGT Rod. As company clerk, I was proud to write-up SGT Rod's recommendation for a Silver Star for Valor that was awarded posthumously. He died a hero - may his memory never be forgotten.

Thank You
Dear SFC Louis Rodriguez, Thank you for your service as an Infantryman. The 53rd anniversary of the start of your tour just passed. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. It is Autumn. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance, and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.
