I never met you

I never got to meet you but I knew your family and I can tell you that there was a dignified respect of you and the pride they had for you and it goes without saying that you would be proud of how they honored your memory. You touched me enough as a young boy to influence my joining the Army. I wish you had made it back, I would have loved to have been your neighbor. 50+ years later you are still in my heart and soul....you instilled immense pride in me as did your entire family

do not stand at my grave and weep

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.

As long as you are remembered you will always be with us....

A VERY SPECIAL FRIEND

I knew Bill since first grade in Mother of Divine Providence School. He was always a sweet guy. In 7th grade, Bill made a home-made valentine for me and on the back, he wrote "Wherever you go, my heart will follow, Billy B". I still have it to this day. It meant more to me than he will ever realize. Bill was killed 6 days after he would have graduated with me from Upper Merion High School, but he quit school after 11th grade to join the Marines. I will never forget you, Bill. Rest in Eternal Peace.
