Happy Birthday, Big Brother!!

Happy Birthday to my beautiful Big Brother, Tony!! I love you and miss you so very, very much. To this day, I can close my eyes and see your beautiful face and smile with that mischievous glimmer in your eyes....that could melt any girls heart! The world lost a wonderful man on August 23rd, 1968 and God received another beautiful angel!!!! Give mom a big hug and kiss for me. Love you both with all my heart!!!

My eternal protector!

Tony is my brother,my mother found out she was pregnant with my sister Elizabeth on the day that Tony was killed. I will always believe she was an angel that God sent to save my mother. She always knew that he would not come home alive. He was my protector, he is 6 years older than I and he always watched over me. He was a very amazing young man. He loved everyone and had a wonderful zest for life. I miss him and love him more than ever. I am glad that my mother is again with her first born and I know that he will always protect her. I love you Tony. Cant wait to see you and Mom again. XOXOXO...he always put that on his letters to me, along with 235 days,219 days left.

Tony, CAP 2-5-5

I was commander of the CAP unit Tony was in CAP 2-5-5. It was his turn to stay back at the bridge and the bridge got attacked and he was killed helping defend the bridge from being blown up. That was when he was killed. I was in a village about 5 miles away. I identified the body the next day and placed him in the ambulance to bring him to the hospital.
