we will remember
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.

Thank You
Dear WO Samuel Roberson, Thank you for your service as an Utility & Light Cargo Single Rotor Helicopter Pilot with the 1st Cavalry. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. The 20th anniversary of 9/11 just passed. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

A Cousin serving his country
Samuel was a cousin on my maternal side of the family. Everyone prayed and shared information through passing it along, hoping he was safe. I was quite young, but beginning to understand about war, and its horrors. He was lost in Vietnam, and as soon as I was able, I traveled to see the Vietnam Memorial and actually see his name inscribed. It is a stark moment, knowing those carved numerals document his life. My father served for three tours, and that message that comes from the Marines, standing at your door, never leaves your thoughts.
Bless our Sammy, as he was called, a precious young man.

Remembering An American Hero
Dear WO Samuel Albert Roberson, sir
As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.
May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.
With respect, Sir
Curt Carter
