Thank You

Dear PFC John Robbins, Thank you for your service as a Rifleman. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Yesterday was the 20th anniversary of 9/11. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

Gone but Not Forgotten, and Never will be forgotten

This Sunday will be 55 years since your sacrifice. I have written about all the guys from Pueblo who died in Vietnam in my book [Vietnam Heroes from the Home of Heroes] but Johnny, your memory is the strongest, and of all the guys you ran around with when we were kids, you were the bravest.

Close friend in hi schoollgreat

Johnny had a cool sense of humor. Not the one to tell jokes to make you laugh, but scary day events with his special twist would have his friend's in stitches. Gone too soon.

Remembering An American Hero

Dear PFC John William Robbins, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

Curt Carter
