honoring you....
Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. The remembrance from your sister Joanne is touching and reflects the anguish experienced by so many families that lost loved ones in this war. As long as you are remembered you will always be with us….

Thank You
Dear PFC David Ritzschke, Thank you for your service as an Assault Amphibious Vehicle Crewman. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Yesterday was Labor Day. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

David Ritzschke- Remembered by Herman-Norcross High School
David Ritzschke graduated from Herman High School, in Herman, Minnesota in 1963. Currently there are two school pictures for him. One is his 1963 senior class picture. The other is his 1962 junior class group picture. You will find him by name in the first row. At the other end of that row, you will find Richard Apland, who would also graduate in 1963. Both Richard Apland and David Ritzschke would die in Vietnam. Together, they are the two soldiers of Herman to die in Vietnam.
The pictures came from the help of 1961 graduate Dave Haupert, the students and staff of Herman-Norcross High School and especially school staffer Jill Tolifson, who tracked down and submitted the graduation pictures.
