Medic
I was one of the medics who tried to keep the Lt alive the day he was hit. His family should know that his last thoughts were of them.

FALLEN 1542
Just learned today that JAMES O. BLAKENSHIP, US 55810794, from my Officer Candidate Class #10-66 didn't survive the Vietnam War. As a former NCO upon arrival at Ft Benning, GA OCS you were a leader of the class.
I'll always remember you in my prayers.

CACTI FOREVER
D Company, 2/35th Infantry, 3rd Brigade, 4th Inf Division.
We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
Shall be my brother; be he ne'er so vile,
This day shall gentle his condition;
And gentlemen in England now-a-bed
Shall think themselves accurs'd they were not here,
And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
That fought with us upon Saint Crispin's day.
