do not stand at my grave and weep....
Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.

Thank You
Dear Lt William Reynolds, Thank you for your service as an Infantry Unit Commander. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. The fall of Afghanistan reminds me of Saigon. It is very sad. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

Friendship, Spiritual relationship, hunting buddy
I met Bill Reynolds shortly after committing my life to Christ while attending Kansas State University. He came alongside me to help me grow as a follower of Christ. We were both in ROTC and involved with the Navigators. We hunted quail together on his family's farm. We double-dated to the Military ball. We spent time together praying, discussing the scriptures, telling others about Christ. I still ache in my heart (50 years) from the time I heard of his death in VN. I vowed to try to live my life as Bill lived his...helping others find and follow Christ. I have kept that vow. I believe that God spared my life AT LEAST twice during my time in VN. Twice I was assigned to new jobs twice in VN while my replacements were killed while performing the jobs I had just been reassigned from. I shed a periodic tear for Bill and still thank God for allowing me to know him. Everyone who ever met him probably remembers his wholehearted handshake and BIG smile. I am looking forward to shaking that hand again when we meet inside those pearly gates.

Debt I Cannot Repay
50 years, seems like yesterday, Bill. You were my fair and loyal friend, when few others were. I have not forgotten.

Forever grateful.....I will see you in Glory to personally thank you
I am forever grateful to you for boldly sharing with me the Gospel and leading me to a decision to follow Christ. Your personal witness for the King convinced me that the Gospel is true, I watched you live it. I look forward to seeing you again to say "thank you". There is no greater sacrifice than a man lay down his life for another.
