Attn: Col. Bean

Col. Bean, Sir,

Rex flew off on a sortie or on his own?

What were his official duties?

I'm just trying to familiarize myself with the Lt. whose MIA bracelet I wear.

Thank you for your information, Sir.

Real pilots on the ABCCC

"Rex" Rexroad flew with Hillsboro, the Airborne Command Post responsible for air power utilized in Southern Laos and southern Route Pak 1 in North Vietnam, early ijn 1968. The purpose of his accompanying us was to give us ground-pounders some perspective on what the pilots we were talking to all day were encountering and what we could reasonably ask. Rex flew off one day and never returned.

RIP my friend.

Updated Info

I read somewhere that he is now listed as KIA.

I wore his MIA bracelet for many years...and would love to give it to his family.

Remembering An American Hero

Dear Major Ronald Reuel Rexroad, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

Curt Carter

The Here And Now

Sir you served with the fire and desire of a Marine. Now as a Marine I step forward searching for those you left behind on behalf of their friends.

We have never met Sir, but your wife and my mom were sisters.
