Thank You
Dear Lt John Revier, Thank you for your service as an Infantry Unit Commander. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. It is another hot summer day. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

My Beloved and Missed Brother-in-Law
Although John's passing was long ago, I'll always remember him as fun-loving and cheerful during his time at Ft. Benning and Columbus, GA. If you can, I strongly recommend that you visit the National Infantry Museum in Columbus. No ID required. www.nationalinfantrymuseum.com The NIM also has a complete downsized granite Vietnam Memorial Wall with all the names engraved on it. One can also purchase remembrance pavers in support of the museum.

Ground Casualty
On the evening of October 20, 1969, B Company, 4/23rd Infantry, was preparing to depart on an airmobile mission when a M26 hand grenade was thrown into the officer’s billet. Killed in the blast was the company’s executive officer, 1LT John D. Revier. In addition, three others were injured, including the company commander. Investigators suspected SP5 Willie J. Reed of committing the crime, but were unable to accumulate sufficient evidence to obtain a conviction. [Taken from coffeltdatabase.org and the book Fragging by George Lepre]
