John h. Blalock
I worked as the intelligence specialist for the 92mp battalion in Vietnam from January of sept 65 to August of 67. I missed the tet offensive of Jan-feb of 1967. I my friend and commander captain John Blalock was killed in that offensive. I tried to contact him many time since I believed his hometown of way cross ga. Was a good contact point. This was before the internet and things were not easily found then. In 1992 I received a note from the us army awarding me an army accommodation medal. This was strange that I would receive it 25 years later. I would like to talk to one of his family members to tell John’s story. Call me at 2627770033 Jim mathia. You can leave a text message, I spent all my days working with him and knew his good friend Lt Hill. We were a two man office for all that time. Email [email protected] easier to text though . I am 77 years old so it would be wonderful to let you know how great a job he did and what a good Captain he was!
