CITATION:
SYNOPSIS: Lieutenant Josslyn F. Blakely, Jr. (NSN: 0-648209), United States Navy, was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Medal (Posthumously) for heroism and meritorious achievement in aerial flight as pilot of a helicopter embarked in U.S.S. ORISKANY (CVA-34), during rescue operations to save personnel aboard a grounded British ore carrier on 16 September 1966.
