Thank You

Dear Lt Terry Reed, Thank you for your service as a Tactical Aircraft Pilot. I researched you on the 23rd anniversary of your identification, glad you were identified in 1998. Welcome home. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Today is the 57th anniversary of Gulf of Tonkin Incident. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

Uncle Terry

Although sadly I did not have the chance to meet you , I have felt the reprucussions of losing you. My many conversations with mom spoke of country bunkins rough housing as kids, moving around the world from one airforce base to the next and siblings sharing common threads of daily life, nature and animals. Growing up in the embrace of airforce culture, your personality was an intrinsic component of the wellbeing of our family. You became a pilot serving in Vietnam while yearning to fulfill your purpose. Your tragic death left such grief in the hearts of your family. You are cherished and missed by your family. Rest in peace with love and respect.
Your neice,
Leah

We Remember

Terry was my BOQ roommate in Pilot Training at Randolph AFB. He was tall enough that he was worried about not being able to get under the maximum sitting height for a pilot. He made it by a fraction. I still remember that very well. We were roomies until he got married well into the program. I believe he was the first pilot in our class to be killed in Vietnam.

A great guy and a great friend. A terrible loss.
