Bill I love u so much I have
have missed u so much u gave me my first record these boots were made for walking
U took me swimming took me on rides in ur funky car. The 2nd saddest day of my life is when I first flew on an airplane and I just knew u would be sitting in top of the cloud. U weren't but u were. U have missed so much. We have missed u so so double much. Love margy. Thank u for all u did for me.

Though I never met you face-to-face, I was watching the struggle in the bushes in front of our position when that Viet Cong shot you in the belly. We later found out that John Ochs dispatched that Viet Cong along with his comrade. On Veteran's Day and Memorial Day I carry a banner with the names of the 9 Marines in first platoon (including yours) who were killed during my tour with Charlie 1/1.
