Thank You

Dear Lcpl Andrew Rankin, Thank you for your service as a Rifleman. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Independence Day just passed. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

I had just finished my Junior year oh High School My Dad told me they Andy had been killed in Vietnam . Until that moment VietNam was just a place i’d seen on the News but it had become very personal to me now . 15 months later I was a SP4 and was now in Vietnam 1st with 362nd Signal and then with MACV Team 60 . I went for revenge and I came back and was never the same So I salute you my cousin my friend and my brother in arms. . I would love to get any pictures of Andy from those who served with this fine brave man . Until we meet again I salute you !

Remembering An American Hero

Dear LCPL Andrew Bryan Rankin, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

Curt Carter
