Dear Sp4 Jose Ramos, Thank you for your service as an Indirect Fire Infantryman. I researched you on your 74th birthday, happy birthday. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Independence Day just passed. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

I am the son of your cousin Jesus Ramos Jr. Your father and my grandfather were brothers. I heard stories about you back when I was a kid. I'm 50 now! I served as well. 4/325 Airborne Infantry Regiment. Your memory lives on. I'll keep it alive as long as I can and passed it on to my son! We don't forget our own!!!!

I was just a tiny person, 3 yrs. old. I never had the pleasure in meeting you. I came to the wall on 6/18/2018 to pay my respect to one of many fallen heroes. My family will always remember you. And I know deep in my heart that my dad has saluted you in heaven and my mom is embracing you...

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.
