Dear Cpl Fidel Ramos, Thank you for your service as a Rifleman. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Independence Day just passed. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

I was wounded and laid in the open taking enemy fire. Ramos and John Timko came to my rescue. They tried to get me but the fire was very intense an heavy, I was facing certain death but could not risk their lives to get me. I yelled at them telling them to go around to flank the enemy which they did killing him and I was able to be saved, they put me in a chopper under heavy fire. Forever be grateful.
