we will remember
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.

Thank You
Dear Sp4 James Ralph, Thank you for your service as an Indirect Fire Infantryman. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Independence Day just passed. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

Ten
I was just viewing the site of Samuel Ramos. Killed while serving with "E" Co 2/9. I was there and with him when he died. Trying to leave the site I clicked the arrow and saw James Ralph's site. Noticed the date of his casualty and realized it was during the Assault by the 101st Airborne on what would later be called Hamburger Hill. The Ninth Marines were acting as a blocking force during the assault. Our position was about 8-10 Klicks (kilometers) distance. Forty nine years ago on the day he died? I was about six miles away. It never ceases to amaze me that I find so much at this point in my life relative to my time in Vietnam. May he rest in peace. A photo of myself and my three radio operators on L.Z. Cates, July 1969 RVN.
